Di Facebook Veloce, un ottimo client ufficioso per il popolare social network, abbiamo già avuto modo di parlare qualche settimana fa. Torniamo a farlo, anche oggi, in occasione del rilascio della versione 1.4 dell'applicazione, che introduce una notevole e corposa serie di novità. Prima tra tutte il cambiamento del nome, che dopo una serie di consultazioni con Facebook stessa, è divenuto Fast for Facebook.

Sempre legate ai contatti con Facebook sono anche tutta una serie di cambiamenti all'icona e alla grafica del programma. Tra le altre novità introdotte, una maggiore velocità di caricamento dei contenuti, una migliore gestione di commenti e stati,un layout più adatto all'utilizzo su tablet, la possibilità di scattare e caricare foto direttamente, due nuovi widget e molto altro ancora. General:

• - Optimized loading and connectivity
• - Introduced an advanced cache that automatically loads images and minimizes the internet usage

Appearance:

• - After a report by Facebook, We changed name, icon and graphics

Main screen:

• - Increased the number of news readable in the main screen

Chat:

• - Optimized the loading speed
• - Adjusted the position of notifications to avoid overlapping of action bar.

Safety:

• - Introduced optional security system that works every time you close the application. The system allows to open the app only by inserting pin previously set. The system is optional and enabled / disabled from the settings menu.

Camera:

• - Added the ability to take pictures and to upload your photos immediately. It’s possible to take and upload multiple photos at once.

Quick Links:

• - Quick link to update own state.

Widget:

• - Introduced 2 widgets for quick access to sharing features (new state, new checkin, new picture taken from camera, new image, new Private Message)

Languages:

• - Update German, Hungarian
• - Added turkish, Portuguese, Polish

Miscellaneous:

• - Tuned refresh pull down.
• - Fixed bug on ICS for the display of text written in Search and Chat
• - Slightly increased the size of the friends online list in chat
• - Improved management of notifications
• - Introduced the ability to directly open the photo album in case a notification refers to multiple photos
• - Introduced a dialog in the case when there are connectivity problems
